AMBULANCE MEN'S MEMORY. The members of the Preston branch of the St. John Ambulance Corps have paid a splendid tribute to the memory of three colleagues, who died in the South African War, by dedicating to them a bed in the Infirmary. On Saturday afternoon [9th December 1905] the interesting ceremony of unveiling a brass tablet placed over the head of the bed was performed by the Earl of Lathom, in the presence of a large assembly of ambulance men and others.
